Ever since we put the tree up my dog Chubbs has been watching it very carefully. He’s very distrustful of it and clearly thinks it’s up to something. Let’s just hope there isn’t a squirrel living in the tree…
It’s never too early to get into the mother fuckin spirit! We went all out this year and bought a real live 7 foot tall tree. Cameron was super-excited to go pick up the tree. He also seemed excited to decorate the tree, but in reality I think he just wanted to play with the train ornaments. I started putting up lights outside yesterday but got sidetracked and couldn’t finish. Then today my next-door neighbor suddenly had his lights up. Well I couldn’t be out done, so I resumed setting up my lights this evening after we finished with the tree. I still have a little more to do tomorrow, but it’s looking pretty good so far.
We ended up having our Thanksgiving dinner on Friday instead of Thursday. Since my parents live all the way out in Las Vegas, and Chris and Kim were spending the holiday with her family, we figured we would just wait and have our big dinner when Ann and Terry came down with Cameron. Amy and I kind of threw the meal together at the last minute, but fortunately it turned out great, especially the desserts. At one point, I was so full that I thought I was going throw up. It was awesome.
